CBP’s Message To Illegals: You “May” Be Deported

In what was supposedly meant to be a strong message to illegal immigrants, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency posted on X Sunday, “There are consequences for migrants who enter the U.S. unlawfully by crossing the border between ports of entry. You may be returned to your home country if it is quickly determined you are not eligible for asylum.”

Apparently, the CBP is trying to make U.S. border security appear like more of a joke than it already is.

In addition to creating an immediate national security threat, the border crisis is also creating long-term consequences. As Claremont Institute Senior Fellow Jeremy Carl explained in The Federalist, you need only pick up a history book to understand why.

According to Carl, uncontrolled immigration contributed to the fall of the Roman Empire. “[I]t was the Roman Empire’s saving of thousands and thousands (some say upward of 200,000) of Goth tribal refugees fleeing from the Huns in 376 that led to Rome’s sack less than a century later,” explained Carl. “After a variety of mutually broken promises between the two sides, the Goths turned on their Roman rescuers at the Battle of Adrianople in 378, a massacre of Romans that saw the deaths of more than 30,000 and would eventually lead to the fall of the Western Roman Empire.”

“Like Rome, we have lost our cultural confidence and moorings, which dramatically increases our risk of being overrun both literally and metaphorically by newcomers,” Carl continued.

Indeed, the demographics of our nation are changing dramatically as millions pour over the border, overwhelming the general American populace who carries America’s unique cultural heritage and values.

Meanwhile, Democrats want illegals voting in federal elections, carrying firearms, and serving in the military. And those tasked with securing our border security, and therefore our national identity, can only promise to maybe deport the illegals.
